Candy Shorts review: worth the tokens?
Candy Shorts is the episodic video part of candy.ai, the AI companion platform. It is a legit paid service with a real free tier. Whether it is worth paying depends on how many series you plan to finish.
The good
- Two episodes of every regular series cost nothing, so you can judge a story before paying.
- A large catalogue: 191 series at the last refresh, with new ones flagged as new on Candy.
- Subtitles in several languages are offered in the player.
- Premium is more than Shorts: unlimited chat, 18+ images and video, live action and your own AI girlfriend.
The less good
- After episode 2 every episode costs tokens: 12 on regular series, 30 on star series.
- 100 tokens a month finish about eight regular episodes, so binge-watchers will run out.
- Spicy series stay hidden until you create an account.
Billing and cancelling
Charges appear as EverAI, from EverAI Limited in Malta, the company behind candy.ai. Candy states that you can cancel at any time in your settings, and its plan page says subscriptions renew automatically for the same term. When we last checked (30 Oct 2026), the yearly plan worked out at $3.99 a month, billed $47.88 upfront, and the monthly plan started at $9.99.
Our verdict
Sample freely: the free episodes are real and you lose nothing by trying several series. Pay when one story hooks you, and pick the yearly plan only if you expect to keep coming back for new releases.
